Ингредиенты

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless pork chops, ¾ inch (2 cm) thick (about 3 pork chops)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 12 kalamata olives, pitted and coarsely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) sour cream
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 pita breads (see note), halved
  • Basil pesto, to taste
  • Boston lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, sliced into long ribbons

  1. In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, brown the pork chops in the oil for 3 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool on a plate for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
  3. On a work surface, pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Using a knife, cut away the excess fat from the pork. Dice the pork chops and add to the bowl of salad. Mix well. Adjust the seasoning.
