Ингредиенты

  • 6 very fresh pita breads, each 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter
  • 1 cup (250 ml) garlic sauce (toum)
  • 3 cups (180 g) iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced
  • 1 tomato, cut into half-moons
  • 1 recipe shish taouk chicken, cooked, sliced and warmed
  • Pickled turnips, to taste (see note)

Инструкция

  1. Open the pitas as much as possible by gently separating the two sides. For each sandwich, place two pita halves on a work surface, overlapping them slightly. Spread the inside of the pitas with the garlic sauce. Fill with the lettuce, tomato slices, warm chicken and pickled turnips. Firmly roll up the pitas without closing up both ends.
