    In a saucepan, bring the wild rice and 1 litre (4 cups) of salted water to a boil. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 1 hour. Drain. Place in a bowl and let cool.

    In the meantime, in another saucepan, bring the jasmine rice and 250 ml (1 cup) of salted water to a boil. Stir, cover, reduce the heat to low and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the heat, place in a bowl and let cool.
