Slow-Cooker Broufado (Provençale Braised Beef with Onions)

Instructions

    In a bowl, combine the onions, oil, parsley, capers, anchovies, bay leaf and cloves. Season with salt and pepper.

    In the cavity of a slow cooker, spread a third of the onion mixture. Layer with half of the meat. Cover with another third of the onions and the remaining meat. Finish with the remaining onions.

    Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable.
