    In a 1-cup (250 ml) mug, combine the raspberries and sugar. Set aside.

    In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and butter with a fork until it forms a ball.

    Add the milk and vanilla and mix with a spatula until smooth.

    Spoon the mixture over the raspberries. Cook in the microwave oven for about 1 minute or until a toothpick inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the cake to finish baking.
