  • 3 cups (750 ml) water
  • 1 cup (180 g) steel-cut oats (see note)
  • 1 pinch salt

  1. In the pressure cooker, combine the water, oats and salt.
  2. Cover and select the Programmable function on LO (low pressurization). Set the machine to cook for 12 minutes for an al dente texture.
  3. Let the pressure release manually to avoid overcooking the oatmeal. Remove the lid and mix well. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Garnish with maple sugar, dried or fresh fruit, or nuts, if desired.
