  • 1/2 lb (225g) lean ground pork
  • 1 package of 20 grams dried shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated and chopped
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of sesame oil
  • 34 squares won-ton wrappers or rounds sui mai wrappers (dim sum)
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) peanut oil or canola oil

  1. In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil, stirring with a whisk. Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
