Plum Syrup with Star Anise

   In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil. Simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes. Strain and transfer to a small pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled, about 4 hours.

   Use to flavour sparkling wine or drizzle over vanilla ice cream.
