Oranges Macerated in Cinnamon and Lemon

Instructions

    In a saucepan, bring the sugar, water, cinnamon, zest, lemon rounds and juice to a boil. Simmer for about 1 minute or until the sugar has completely dissolved.

    Spread the orange slices out in a baking dish and pour the hot syrup over them. Let cool.

    Drain the orange slices. Discard the cinnamon stick and lemon slices.
