With an electric milk frother or handheld frother, cold foam the almond beverage (see note). Let sit for 2 minutes to allow the foam to stabilize and increase in volume.

Meanwhile, in a personal blender fitted with the grinding blade, crush the ice cubes into a slushy consistency with the coffee and maple syrup. Transfer into a lowball whisky glass. Top with the frothed almond beverage. Sprinkle with maple flakes. Serve with a straw, if desired.
