Manhattan Cocktail

- 1/4 cup (60 ml) bourbon
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) red vermouth
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) maraschino cherry syrup
- 2 drops Angostura (optional)
- 5 to 6 ice cubes
- 1 maraschino cherry, with the stem
- 1 long orange zest (optional)

- In a shaker, combine all the ingredients except for the cherry and orange zest. Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the cherry and orange zest.
