  • 8 cups (2 litres) apple juice
  • 1 cup (250 ml) molasses
  • 6 lbs (2.27 kg) pork baby back ribs, trimmed (see note)
  • Paprika, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup (250 ml) chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice and molasses and add the ribs. Refrigerate and allow to marinate for 24 to 48 hours.
