2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
2 tablespoons (30 ml) lime juice
1 tablespoon (15 ml) mirin
1 teaspoon (5 ml) sugar
3/4 cup (180 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (125 ml) cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) baking powder
1 cup (250 ml) cold Japanese (or other) beer
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup (250 ml) sugar snap peas, trimmed
1 cup (250 ml) green beans, trimmed
1 cup (250 ml) broccoli florets
1/2 zucchini, cut into rounds 1/4 inch (1/2 cm) thick
Salt
Oil for deep-frying
