  • 2 cups (500 ml) strawberries, diced
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced 

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh mint, chopped
  • Grated zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) water, approximately
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) vanilla extract
  • 10 daylily flowers, without the pistils and with or without the stems
  • Flour, for coating
  • Oil, for frying

  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and let rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Set aside.
