   With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F).

   On a baking sheet, place the bread slices, side by side. Slather with the bechamel sauce. Top with the slices of ham and cheese. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is lightly golden brown.
