Preheat a waffle iron on high. Use a pastry brush to lightly oil the cavities.

On a work surface, cover both sides of the bread slices with the mayonnaise, then sprinkle with the sugar.

Place the bread in the waffle iron. Close the device. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until the bread is golden and caramelized.

Cover the bread with the chocolate-hazelnut spread. Top with the banana slices and sprinkle with nutmeg.
