Instructions

In a glass dish or in a large sealable bag, combine all the ingredients. Add the chicken and coat well. Cover the dish or seal the bag. Refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours.

Ingredients

1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
1 teaspoon (5 ml) rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed  
Sambal oelek, to taste  
1 1/2 lb (675 g) skinless and boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 small shallot, finely chopped  
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) curry powder (optional)
1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
2 teaspoons (10 ml) rice vinegar
1 cup (250 ml) coconut milk
1/3 cup (75 ml) peanut butter
1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
Salt and pepper
8 large or 20 small wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes  
1/2 lb (225 g) rice vermicelli, cooked
Fresh cilantro, to taste
