- 3 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted, plus more for serving
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 oz (170 g) milk chocolate, chopped

- Amaretto-style almond liqueur (optional)

- In a pot, bring the milk, cream, cocoa powder and salt to a boil while whisking. Remove from the heat.
- Add the chocolate. Let sit for 2 minutes without stirring. Whisk until smooth (see note).
