French Toast with Strawberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 500 ml (2 cups) fresh or frozen and thawed strawberries
- 60 ml (¼ cup) sugar
- 125 ml (½ cup) milk
- 60 ml (¼ cup) brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2.5 ml (½ tsp) vanilla extract
- 4 slices white bread
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) unsalted butter
- Icing sugar
Instructions
- In a food processor, purée the strawberries with the sugar until smooth. You can strain the mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds. Keep the sauce in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
