Prunes in Vinegar
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) pitted prunes
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
- 1 star anise
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or until prunes have absorbed almost all the liquid. Let completely cool.
- Serve at room temperature or cold to accompany a cheese plate. Keeps for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
