Beef Fried Rice with Peas
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) molasses
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sambal oelek
- 3 carrots, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) canola oil
- 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
- 4 cups (600 g) cooked long grain parboiled rice, cooled
- 2 cups (300 g) frozen peas, thawed
- Iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced, to taste (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Set aside.
