BBQ Pork Burgers with Coleslaw

- 4 cups (1 litre) finely shredded or grated green cabbage
- 1 carrot, peeled and grated
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) rice vinegar
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) sugar
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) ketchup
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) molasses
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Tabasco sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 lb (454 g) semi-lean ground pork
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) Barbecue Sauce
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 4 hamburger buns
- Mayonnaise, to taste
- 1/4 lb (115 g) sharp cheddar cheese, sliced

- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. If possible, let the salad rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the cabbage to soften.
