  • 1 red plum, pitted and diced
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 lb (454 g) ground pork
  • 1/3 cup (75 ml) breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) canola oil
  • 2 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced diagonally
  • 2 zucchini, cut into 1/4-inch (1/2-cm) thick half-rings
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper

  1. In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil and simmer until the plum falls apart and the sauce is syrupy, about 10 minutes. Set aside.
