Ingredients
- 2 cups (280 g) fresh strawberries, halved or quartered
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) maple syrup
- 1 orange, zest finely grated
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (105 g) brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 brioche loaf, about 1 lb (400 g to 450 g), cut into 4 thick slices (see note)
- 1/4 cup (55 g) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) 35% whipping cream
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) plain Greek yogurt
- 1 1/2 cups (210 g) fresh strawberries, halved or quartered
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9 x 5-inch (23 x 13 cm) baking dish, combine the strawberries with the maple syrup and orange zest.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the strawberries are roasted and the cooking juices are thick and syrupy. The roasted strawberries will keep for 2 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
