  • 4 cups (520 g) rhubarb, cut into pieces about 3/4 inch (2 cm) long
  • 3 Royal Gala apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 2 cups (420 g) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice

  1. In a pot, combine all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil while stirring often. Simmer for 15 minutes or until the apples are tender.
  2. Pour into air tight containers or jars.
  3. To sterilize the jars filled with jam, place them in a pot and cover completely with water. Boil for 10 minutes. The jars of jam will keep for 1 year at room temperature. Unsterilized jars will keep for 1 month in the refrigerator or for 3 months in the freezer.
