Warm Charlevoix’s Migneron Cheese and Strawberry Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 small 7-inch (18-cm) in diameter loaf of bread
  • 5 oz (150g) Migneron Charlevoix cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup (250 ml) sliced strawberries
  • raspberries
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat or the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Cut and remove the top of the bread. Remove the crumb with your fingers.
  3. Keep the crumb for another use.
  4. Scatter the cheese into the bread. Place the strawberries or raspberries on the cheese. Season with pepper. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes. You can lift the bread cap to make sure the cheese is melted. Continue cooking for several minutes if necessary.
  6. When serving, put the bread in the centre of the table. Let everyone cut and share the bread.
