Chocolate-Banana Waffle Toast
Ingredients
- 4 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
- ¼ cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Chocolate-hazelnut spread, to taste
- 1 banana, cut into rounds
- Ground nutmeg, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle iron on high. Use a pastry brush to lightly oil the cavities.
- On a work surface, cover both sides of the bread slices with the mayonnaise, then sprinkle with the sugar.
- Place the bread in the waffle iron. Close the device. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until the bread is golden and caramelized.
- Cover the bread with the chocolate-hazelnut spread. Top with the banana slices and sprinkle with nutmeg.
