Butter Chicken (The Best)
Ingredients
- 2.2 lb (1 kg) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cubed
- ½ cup (125 ml) plain yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lime, juice only
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 jalapeno chili pepper, seeded and chopped

- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) tomato paste
- 1 can (14 oz/398 ml) diced tomatoes
- ½ cup (125 ml) chicken broth
- ½ cup (125 ml) 35% cream
- ¼ cup (10 g) cilantro, finely chopped
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C). Line a baking sheet with foil. Lightly butter the foil.
- In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Spread out on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Set aside.
