Sweet and Sour Mango Sauce
This recipe for sweet and sour mango sauce is perfect for dipping our homemade lumpia!
Ingredients
- ½ cup (70 g) frozen mango cubes, thawed
- ¼ cup (55 g) sugar
- ¾ cup (180 ml) water
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) rice vinegar
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, chopped
- ½ tsp (2.5 ml) sambal oelek
- 1 large garlic clove, chopped
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring all of the ingredients to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
- In a personal blender fitted with the grinding blade, purée the mixture until smooth. Transfer to a small bowl and let cool completely. The sauce will keep for 1 week in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
