Broccoli Orzotto and Pork with Montreal Steak Spice
This quick and easy orzotto dish is the perfect weeknight dinner recipe the whole family will enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 RICARDO Garlic and Herbs Pork Tenderloin, about 1 lb (450 g), trimmed
- 2 tsp Montreal steak spice
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- 2 tbsp dill, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 1 cup (200 g) orzo
- 3 cups (750 ml) hot chicken broth
- 5 cups (350 g) broccoli florets
- 3/4 cup (55 g) Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 tsp lemon zest, finely grated
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the pork on a plate. Sprinkle the steak spice on all sides, pressing to adhere.
- In an ovenproof skillet over high heat, brown the pork on all sides in the oil. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 12 minutes for medium-rare doneness or until a thermometer inserted into the centre of the meat reads 145°F (63°C), turning halfway through cooking. Set aside on a plate. Cover with aluminum foil and let rest for 5 minutes.
