Tomato Tarte Tatin
Ingredients
- 10 plum tomatoes (or more if small)
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) chopped fresh thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) sugar
- Salt and pepper
- 1 1/4 cups (310 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) freshly ground black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) chilled unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) ice water (approximately)
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 160°C (300°F).
