Ginger Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 cup (210 g) sugar
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) water
- 1/4 cup (35 g) chopped fresh ginger
- 3 limes, the finely grated zest
- 1 cup (250 ml) tequila
- 1 cup (250 ml) lime juice
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) Cointreau or other orange liqueur
- 8 cups (2 litres) ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Bring to a boil and let simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Strain through a sieve. Let cool.
