Basic BBQ Rub
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sweet paprika
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) black pepper
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) hickory salt
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) onion powder
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) celery seed
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. This amount of dry rub will allow you to season two chickens. It keeps for six months in an airtight container.
