Cajun Shrimp
Ingredients
- 16 large shrimp, peeled
- 16 small wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chili powder
- 3/4 teaspoon (3.5 ml) Cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) tomato paste
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients. Add the shrimp and allow to marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Preheat the grill, setting the burners on high. Drain the shrimp. Thread a shrimp on each skewer. Grill the shrimp until they change colour. Brush with the remaining marinade while grilling.
