Pita Chips
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp onion salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 5 pita breads, each about 7 inches (18 cm) in diameter
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) (see note). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the oil and spices. Set aside.
- On a work surface, using a chef’s knife or scissors, cut each pita into 8 triangles.
- Add the pita to the bowl of spices and toss to coat well. Spread the pita out on the baking sheet, letting the triangles overlap slightly.
- Bake for 12 minutes, flipping the pita over halfway through cooking, until nicely browned.
- Serve with Cheesy Avocado Dip or hummus.
