Apple and Cheese Bites
Ingredients
- 1 green apple
- 6 oz (170 g) Jarlsberg cheese (or other firm cheese)
- 24 leaves fresh lemon or regular basil (see note)
- Freshly ground pepper
Instructions
- With a mandoline, thinly slice the apple into 24 slices.
- On a work surface, cut the cheese into 24 slices.
- For each bite layer alternately 2 apple slices, 2 cheese slices and 2 basil leaves. Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Season with pepper.
- Serve a Elderflower Ice Cider with an Apple and Cheese Bite placed on top of the glass.
