  • 8 soda crackers, crushed

  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) cornstarch
  • 1 cup (250 ml) chicken broth
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped parsley

  1. In a large bowl, soak the crackers with the egg and milk until they are tender. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the oil, and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Shape eight patties with the ground beef mixture.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the patties in the oil for about 2 minutes per side. Set aside on a plate.
