Ингредиенты

  • ½ cup (125 ml) white vinegar
  • ¼ cup (55 g) brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp pickling spice
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 cup (250 ml) store-bought mango purée (see note)

Инструкция

  1. In a small pot over medium heat, bring the vinegar, brown sugar, pickling spice and garlic to a boil. Remove from heat and let the flavours infuse for 5 minutes. Add the mango purée. Place the pot back over medium heat and simmer for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Strain through a sieve. The amba sauce will keep for 2 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
