Classic Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 6 cups (1.5 litre) Yukon Gold potatoes peeled and cubed (about 8 medium potatoes)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk, approximately
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, cook the potatoes and garlic in salted boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.
- With a masher, mash the potatoes and garlic with the butter. Then, with an electric mixer, purée the mixture with the milk. Adjust the seasoning.
