El Diablo
This cocktail is perfect to add a bit of a kick to your evening! It owes its name to its bright red colour, given by cassis (blackcurrant) liqueur. It’s part of the mule family of cocktails, which always consist of ginger ale, citrus juice and liquor.
Ingredients
- 1 oz (30 ml) reposado tequila (see note)
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) creme de cassis
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) lime juice
- Ice cubes
- 3 oz (90 ml) ginger beer (see note)
- 1 lime wedge, for garnishing
Instructions
- Pour the tequila, cassis and lime juice into a highball glass. Stir together. Add a few ice cubes and top up with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge.
