  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 thyme sprig
  • 1 clove

  1. In a small pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the remaining ingredients. Cook the butter until it is starting to brown and is no longer frothy. Quickly pour it into a bowl (do not strain it). Season with pepper.
  2. Drizzle the brown butter over mashed potatoes, grilled meats or white fish.
