Dairy-Free Chocolate, Banana, Almond and Cashew Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 3 ice cubes
  • ½ very ripe banana, chopped
  • ½ very ripe avocado, chopped
  • 1 cup (250 ml) unsweetened almond and cashew protein beverage
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Cacao nibs (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a personal blender fitted with the grinding blade, purée the ice cubes, banana, avocado, almond and cashew beverage, cocoa powder, maple syrup, ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Pour into a large glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or cocoa nibs, if desired. Serve immediately.
