Planked Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 untreated maple or cedar plank approximately 6 x 15-inch (15 x 38-cm)
  • 1 1/2 lb (675 g) skinless salmon fillet
  • 1/3 cup (75 ml) olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime or 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped fresh herbs (chives, flat-leaf parsley, cilantro, etc.)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 tablespoons (90 ml) soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mirin
  • 1/4 cup (15 ml) mirin
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • Pepper
