Bocconcini and Tomatoes with Soy and Sesame
Coated with a soy syrup, these small, chic skewers are great as a snack or as an appetizer during cocktail hour.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 8 cocktail bocconcini
- 8 cherry tomatoes
- ¼ tsp roasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a small pot over medium heat, reduce the soy sauce and brown sugar by half until the mixture is syrupy, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
- Thread the bocconcini and tomatoes onto toothpicks. Place on a plate. When ready to serve, drizzle with the soy syrup and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
