Soy and Anise Beef broth (for beef, lamb, pork and chicken fondue)

Ingredients

  • 1 leek, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 6 cups (1.5 litres) beef broth
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 6 star anise pods

Instructions

  1. Heat the fondue pot on the stovetop over medium-high heat and cook the leek in the oil until softened. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 5 minutes. Season with pepper.
  2. Place the heating plate at the centre of the table. Select the Broth function and set the fondue pot on the heating plate. Serve with garnishes and sauces of your choice.
