Quick Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) ketchup
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of hoisin sauce
- 4 pork chops, 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick, trimmed of fat
- 2 cups (500 ml) pickled onions, drained
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- With the rack in the highest position, preheat the broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar and hoisin sauce. Add the pork chops and onions. Turn to coat thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange on the baking sheet and broil until the sauce is slightly caramelized, 7 to 8 minutes. Do not overcook.
- Serve with green beans or a green salad.
