Pork Souvlaki
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 small pork tenderloins, about 3/4 lb (340 g) each, cubed
- 24 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes, or metal skewers
- 1 cup (250 ml) sour cream
- 1/2 cup (100 g) seeded and grated cucumber
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) sweet relish
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a glass dish or a large sealable plastic bag, combine the oil, lemon juice, garlic and spices. Add the pork and coat thoroughly with the marinade. Cover the dish or seal the bag. Refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
