Maple Plank Grilled Salmon with Honey and Balsamic Vinegar
Ingredients
- 1 untreated maple plank, about 15 x 6 inches (38 x 15 cm), for grilling
- 4 salmon steaks, skin on
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
- 1 tsp fennel seeds, crushed
- 1/2 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
- Salt
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) olive oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 2 tsp seeded and chopped jalapeno or cherry pepper
- Parsley, to taste
Instructions
- Completely submerge the maple plank in water, letting
- it soak for 1 to 4 hours.
