Maple Chicken with Bok Choy and Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) water
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) soy sauce
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) maple syrup
- 3/4 lb (375 g) baby bok choy (or medium bok choy, quartered lengthwise)
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) cold butter
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a skillet or large saucepan, bring the water, maple syrup and soy sauce to a boil. Add the chicken and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil and let rest while you prepare the bok choy. Discard the poaching liquid.
