Korean-Style Beef and Kiwi Skewers
Ingredients
- 1/2 kiwi, peeled
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) mirin
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) sambal oelek, or to taste
- 1 1/2 lb (675 g) thin slices beef top round, cut into strips
- 3 kiwi, peeled and finely diced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 8 metal skewers or wood skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a glass dish, mash the kiwi with a fork. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Set aside.
- Preheat the grill, setting the burners to high. Oil the grate.
